Returns Policy
Returns for refund are accepted within 14 days of purchase when the product has been purchased directly from meater.nz.
- Returned product(s) must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g., receipt).
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs to Sportive NZ.
- Once the product(s) are received, inspected, and approved, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method/platform.
- An RMA number must be issued by Sportive NZ before any product is returned.
- We are not responsible for return shipments lost in transit.
- Purchases made through a retailer or authorised reseller must be returned directly to that retailer, who will manage the return process in line with their own policies.
- Refunds or returns are not available for purchases made through unauthorised resellers or third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Snowinn).
- Discounted or clearance products are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund unless faulty, in line with your rights under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).
Warranty Policy
Sportive NZ, as the authorised distributor of MEATER® in New Zealand, warrants that the MEATER® wireless smart meat thermometer is free from defects in parts, materials, and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase, when purchased in New Zealand from Sportive NZ or an authorised retailer/partner.
- If repairs or servicing are required during the warranty term, please contact the MEATER Customer Service team at Sportive NZ via meater.nz.
- Do not send your MEATER® device or accessories to Sportive NZ without first obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions from MEATER Customer Service.
- Shipping costs to return a product for warranty assessment are paid by the customer.
- Once a warranty claim is approved, Sportive NZ will cover the cost of shipping the replacement product back to the customer’s original delivery address.
- Products must be returned before a replacement is issued.
⚠️ This warranty will be void if:
- Product safety instructions for correct usage are not followed
- Accidental damage is caused by the user or cooking equipment
- The MEATER® was used for commercial purposes
- The product has been tampered with
- The product is brought into a country where MEATER® is not certified for sale
This warranty is offered in addition to your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).
Extended Holiday Return Policy
For purchases made between 1 November – 31 December 2024, customers may return products until 31 January 2025. All other purchases remain subject to the standard 14-day return period.
Customised Products – Final Sale Policy
Customised products are defined as any MEATER® product that has been personalised or modified at the customer’s request (e.g., engravings, prints, colours, or other alterations).
- All sales of customised products are final – no cancellations, returns, or exchanges.
- Customers are encouraged to carefully review all order details before confirming a customised order.
- If a customised product arrives defective or does not match the specifications confirmed at purchase, please contact Sportive NZ within 7 days of receipt. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
- This policy does not apply to standard (non-customised) products, which may qualify for return under the policies above.
